After expected incoming rain and storms, the football game will be moved to 9 p.m. instead of the original time of 7 p.m.
Gates are scheduled to open at around 8 p.m. to all students and guests. However, the stadium will not be available before then because of expected heavy rain and severe conditions including lightning.
Activities Director, Cary Eldredge made the final call in deciding the delay.
The delay was ultimately decided due to the high percentage of rain right at the original game time which was set at 7 p.m.
“I was in communication with the other school, and for the safety of the students we decided to delay the game,” Eldredge said.
Many students are upset about this delay.
Varsity football senior, Kaileb Rhen shares his feelings on this breaking news.
“It’s kind of frustrating. I’ve been pumped up all day. It’s going to be a long night,” Rhen said.
Football isn’t the only thing affected by this new change. Senior night which was originally supposed to take place at 6:25 p.m. will now take during halftime.
