Overthinking and anxiety affect a lot of teenagers. Kylie Richardson is one of them. She often creates fake scenarios in her head, worries about doing things wrong, and stresses about the future, but she’s been working on getting better at controlling those thoughts.
A few years ago, Richardson was in a car crash that changed her life. It was scary, but it also helped her figure out what she wants to do in the future.
“After I went through all of that, I knew that I wanted to work in healthcare, so that I could help people who have to go through the same type of thing I went through,” Richardson said. “I’m not good with blood and that type of stuff though so I landed on being a chiropractor.” After an incident like that it makes people way more aware of the struggles people really face.
When Richardson feels overwhelmed, she goes to her room, which is her safe place. It helps her to calm down and feel more in control. She also has a strong support system—her boyfriend, who is her best friend and is always there for her.
Even though she struggles sometimes, Richardson is growing and focusing on her future while making sure others are okay.
