Students who submitted an application for the St. Charles Community College (SCC) Be Ready Program took a math placement test Feb. 7 in the Student Center. Students who were not already enrolled in the Be Ready Program were also able to turn in last-minute sign-up sheets.

A representative from SCC was present to proctor and help students sign in to take the test. Several students came in first thing in the morning to get passes from Ms. Gerringer in order to miss a few hours and take the test.

“The test went well today. It was not as hard as I thought it would be, being a college placement test,” said Derrick Kingery (12).

The Be Ready Program was created to help incoming freshmen who will be attending St. Charles Community College. The program helps walk students through the process of applying, taking any placement test, a field trip to the campus in March and SCC advisors come to Liberty in April to help students get ready for their SCC classes. If students decide to opt-out of the program, they are free to do so at any time.

If you have any questions about college and upcoming deadlines, feel free to contact Ms. Gerringer or see her during her Walk-In Wednesdays, where she is available to answer any questions.
