Name: Keaton Franciskato

Grade: Senior

Sport: Tennis

Why did you join: I knew people that did it and they talked me into doing it.

Pre-meet/game/match ritual: None.

Special item/snack: QT pretzels.

Best memory: The bus rides to games, everyone’s on the bus jamming out to music and joking around with each other and it’s just fun.

Hot take on the sport: The sport, to some extent, is paying to win due to private lessons.

Favorite song: The Suburbs by Arcade Fire.

Proudest moment: When I got on varsity because I used to be known as “the one kid who’s really bad.”

Hardest thing in practice: The running.

Biggest motivation: If I see someone better than me I work to beat them, I’m very competitive.

Are you planning on doing your sport in college/future: Not competitively.

Your donation will support the student journalists of Liberty High School. For the upcoming 2025-26 school year, we are trying to purchase additional cameras and video equipment for our growing media program. We also plan to attend the national journalism conference in Nashville in November.

MaryKate Stroud is a sophomore, and this is her first time in publications. MaryKate is one of the  managers for girls Varsity Basketball. MaryKate is also the President Elect for FCCLA. MaryKate enjoys doing sports photography and traveling. MaryKate’s favorite place that she traveled to was Italy in the summer of ´24. MaryKate plans on going to college after high school and is currently indecisive on where she wants to go, but she knows that she wants to go for broadcasting and human resources.
