Lights, camera and choir! Mr. Datz’s choir students performed their first concert of the year and entertain the audience Tuesday night in the auditorium. Family and friends gathered to see their choir student present the songs they’ve been learning over the course of the first quarter.
“At the beginning, it was a little hectic, but we got together near the end,” Lauren Fereday (9) states in relation to the nerves that were involved leading up to the concert. The choir group fulfilled their own hefty expectations, showing that even while going into the performance they were determined to put on a good show.
The performance itself was breathtaking. From each chorus groups , every participant gave forth their best effort in their respective performances.
Many choir students reported the concert as “great” and “successful,” even looking back at the reflection illustrates the achievements of the performance.
The show requires a lot of attention in order to perform correctly.
“I just locked in, you know? I just read through the music,” Nancy Badwan (9) said.
The effort it takes to hit each note perfectly is nerve wracking in of itself, and finding that balance of confidence and attention to details can add on to the stress leading up to the show.
