Charlotte Thornton (12) was a standout softball player, her batting average was .369, slugging was at .523. Slugging is a key hitting statistic and it measures a player’s power and ability to hit for extra bases, the average slugging percent is around .400. Thornton’s ability to hit for extra bases allowed her team to score more runs helping her team win crucial games. Next year she will be playing for East Central College.

Our Goal

Your donation will support the student journalists of Liberty High School. For the 2025-26 school year, we are trying to purchase additional cameras and video equipment for our growing media program. We also plan to attend the national journalism conference in Orlando in November 2026.

William Quinney is a sophomore, this is his first year in publications. Quinney plays football and volleyball for Liberty. He is excited to help Publications in whatever way they need. Outside of school, Quinney enjoys music and hanging out with friends. Quinney is a hardworking individual who is willing to try new things and help publications the best they can.

MaryKate Stroud is a junior, and this is her second year in Publications. MaryKate is one of the  managers for girls Varsity Basketball. MaryKate is also the President for FCCLA, apart of Light House Leadership Team and National Honor Society. MaryKate enjoys doing sports photography and traveling. MaryKate currently works at Kinetic Park. MaryKate plans on going to college after high school and is currently indecisive on where she wants to go, but she knows that she wants to go for broadcasting and human resources.
