At the start of every year we make goals, whether based on resolutions or not. It’s usually the same old stuff, making more money, getting jacked, getting on that team, passing classes. But how do we reach them? Most people often don’t reach their goals because they don’t make a routine or schedule to follow. Where do the important, and good goals come in? Well, all goals are important, whether easy for some people or not. Here are the goals of some of our driven Eagles.

To focus more in school, and to turn work in on time; those are the goals of Riley Deters (10). Her goals may seem like something to brush off but they are in fact very important goals. Deters plans on reaching this goal by focusing more in class, she plans to do that by not talking to friends during class. Another important part of her goal is fixing her sleep schedule – a working and a functioning mind needs sleep.
Valentina Pellegrino (9), would like to practice volleyball, and eat healthier. Pellegrino plans to do this by starting to shop for healthier foods, cutting out junk food, fast food, and sugary drinks. Pellegrino would also like to stay with a nice, and healthy meal plan consisting of three healthy nutritious meals, and even a healthy snack. For practicing volleyball, Pellegrino plans to practice two hours everyday at 6 p.m. and encourages herself to not lay around and get to practice.
Two pals Kadin Linville (10) and Jaren Moeser (9) have similar goals of being outside more often, and getting better grades. For Linville, he would like to focus on asking for the help of his teachers, and being in class more, while for Moeser he’d like to add work after school. Both are currently working on a layout plan to up their grades, and still be able to go out, and have fun with friends. The two both have a similar view for their being outside goal, which is just to plan things more often, and get out of the house, even if just for a quick errand.

Dominic Parker, his goals are both very beneficial in different ways. Helping others more, this goal benefits us in the way of just being a good person, to want to help others really shows a pure, and kind hearted mindset. While working out Parker’s other goal benefits the body, health, and possibly confidence. To reach these goals, Parker would like to be more active in his community being able to help more people easier. On the other hand, fitness walking would help him with his working out goals. “Definitely my friends, they help me be a better person,” Parker claimed happily when asked who could help him reach his goals.
While maybe not knowing one another, Jackson Lounsberry (12), and Keira Johnson (10), have a very good drive. When asked about his New Year’s resolution, Lounsberry responded, “To let things I can’t control not bother me, because I have no control over them.” Lounsberry would like to reach this by simply being more present in the moment, and not letting things that he has no grasp of affect him or his day to day life. Lounsberry claims that all it really took was to simply just realize there wasn’t anything he could do about certain things, and that letting go was the better option. Johnson would like to focus on a level of self growth.

“I want to be the person that people want to be around, I’d like to help others,” Johnson claimed when asked the type of person she’d like to achieve through her self growth. Letting things go is a big part of her goal, whether it be drama, past issues, or relationships it’d be best to just move on. Johnson states a big part of what made her want to achieve this was when she started seeing things from other people’s perspectives it really changed how she tight before she took certain actions.
