Be The Match And Join The Fight Against Leukemia

Leukemia is a dangerous disease that requires urgent assistance, and one organization made it their mission to help

Imagine if you will. You go to the hospital with strange symptoms, you sit in a chair in a room painted white. You await your test results and when you get the results, you crunch the paper up and throw it at the wall. Leukemia.

Leukemia is a disease that attacks the victim’s blood. It makes the victim’s bone marrow create excess white blood cells, and the white blood cells fail to get rid of sickness and can clog out healthy blood cells. Leukemia is a deadly disease and it can run in families causing multiple cases over time in a family.

The Be The Match organization is dedicated to curing those with this terrible disease. Nearly 70 percent of people with leukemia can’t find a bone marrow match in their family and that’s where Be the Match comes in. They have more than 39 million people who have donated bone marrow to the cause of curing those with this terrible disease. But despite how many people they have, they need more. There is a ton of people with rare bone marrow types that they don’t have. That’s where you can help.

There are many ways to get involved and help Be The Match, ranging from hosting events, volunteering at events, helping to support patients on their journey, supporting those who are about to give bone marrow and blood stem cells, and lastly one of the most important, donating. Liberty’s HOSA organization has created its own page where they’re raising funds and hope for patients with blood cancer and other life-threatening blood diseases.

And with the support of people like you, we can help save lives of people all over the globe. See how you can help at the link below.
