There is a large variety of weather in the world, and many people have different outlooks on their favorite kind. When gathering students’ opinions on their favorite weather, I noticed that they each presented answers that are very specific. With all of the differing weather in the world from season to season, I gathered that everyone’s answers were different and special in their own way.
Students point of view on weather
“My favorite weather is during summer from July to June, when the U.V is high with no clouds and there is a refreshing breeze masking the hot air,” Alanna Orton (11) said. To Alanna, this weather symbolizes happiness with friends and family.
“My favorite weather is during winter when it’s snowing, and I get to make snow ice cream,” Tori Sullivan (11) said. Tori misses her old house where there would be a lot of snow. The snow reminds her of her old house, and to her this weather symbolizes peace.
“My favorite weather is when it’s specifically 90 degrees in the summer and a little bit windy,” Marquise Buckley (11) said. Marquise expresses that this symbolizes a new day and a fresh start, when the sun is shining. He also expresses that when there is hot air and wind, it represents balance in life.
“My favorite weather is when it’s slightly cloudy and sunny from 60 to 70 degrees, in the spring,” Kate Broussard (11) said. Kate conveys the message that when the weather is sunny, she’s in an overall better mood for the day.
“My favorite weather is when it’s stormy during the fall,” Arianna McCullough (11) said. Ariana says that to her this weather is peaceful, as many people have said it’s “scary.” She loves the rain and she perceives it as soft and delicate. In addition to that, Arianna loves the thunder because it symbolizes ups and downs for her personally.
Symbolizing in Weather
The common theme between everyone’s favorite weather no matter how different they were, is how they all represented a deeper meaning. Weather has an effect on people’s mood, what they wear, safety, how they go on about their life for the day, etc. To many people, weather has a deeper and more persona; meaning. All in all, weather is significant through all of the different kinds.
