Athletic clothing has grown in popularity over the last few years. Recent generations have shown lots of interest in comfy, yet trendy clothing. Many favored brands nowadays fit this description, and do their best to prioritize preferences of the newer generations.
Some brands that have piqued interest in customers are Alo and Lululemon. These two brands have taken over the closets of many people, and continue to do so today. Both brands have exceptional quality, but some people do not see differences between the two. However, Alo and Lululemon both have qualities that set them apart from each other, even though they do showcase some similarities.
Their similarities are mainly shown in some of their fabrics and looks. Both of the stores feature fabrics centered around athletic and workout-based clothing. They also both have styles meant for exercise and street wear as one. As well as the physical characteristics, the prices for items at these two stores are very close in range. Most of their items have the same prices at each store, or they range by a few dollars. These similarities make them very comparable by customers, often causing confusion between the two.
When it comes to differences, Alo is known for focusing on the style of their clothes and promoting fashion over durability. Their products are better suited for lighter workouts such as yoga, rather than high intensity workouts. Alo’s clothing is also noticeably more appropriate in terms of street wear because it is considered to be trendy and comfortable for long-term wear.
“When you look at Alo, you’re looking at neutral colors…Lululemon has more of a wide range,” Kyleigh Wethington (11) said.
This shows how Alo can be more of a staple for everyday wear. However, it can also emphasize the variety of products at Lululemon.
Lululemon has been well known for a long time now. The company makes products known for being able to withstand rigorous workouts and high impact activities. Their clothing also comes in many different colors, which attracts customers of all interests. Throughout the years, Lululemon has come out with different products suited for different people. This helps to target many audiences, driving in new customers.
Taylor Smith (11) stated that she likes the Lululemon Scuba. This is one of Lululemon’s most popular products, which is purchased by people in all age groups.
Overall, Lululemon and Alo have some similarities, but they have distinct differences which separate them from each other. But the majority of customers have a preference for one store over another because of their personal tastes.
“I prefer Lululemon because they have a huge range of clothes and colors,” Wethington said.
All in all, the flawless clothing and styles that these brands bring to the table are like no other. Plus, the new looks and options constantly being released by both companies keep customers coming back for more. The only real question left is…which one do you prefer: Alo or Lululemon?
