Varsity tennis has been practicing and playing non stop these past few weeks and on Tuesday it paid off. Both Liberty and Timberland were 6-6 going into the match but the Eagles were able to secure the win and come out on top. They beat Timberland with a final score of 7-2.
With GACS coming up in a little over a week, the team is always looking to improve. The players are each working on their individual skills and trying to get better.
Right now some players that are shining bright and playing well are: Aarav Rajesh (9), Vitor Da Silva (12), Charles Giraud (12), Ryan Lankston (11), and Spencer Rigby (10). These players are going above and beyond and showing everyone what they’ve been working on. Kaden Brower (11) has been playing great in doubles and really been working on his strategy.
One of varsity’s members Caleb Clay (12) is getting back into sports after injuring his ACL in the fall. He has been doing well on staying consistent with his workouts and is jumping right back into it.
Many players like Aryan Patel (10) ranked at 8 singles, Daniel O’Day (12), Ben Crangle (11), Aiden Franco (11), and Ajay Shankar (9) ranked at number 4 and 5 doubles, are all improving.
With every new day, they are growing their skills and teamwork, whether that’s at practice or matches.
