Ever since we got an extended winter break because of snow, students have started fun trends to keep in touch with their friends.
A winter storm hit the Lake Saint Louis area at around 6 p.m on Jan. 9. So our students have found a special way to strengthen their bonds with their peers.
“I think it was pretty funny and a good way to get people to leave their rooms after being cooped up all break,” Kelsey Altrup (9) said.
The origins of this trend are unknown, but it is rumored that some Kansas City H.S. seniors started this trend due to boredom.
Here are the rules. Everyone was nominated by someone to participate. Once you’ve been nominated, it’s your duty to complete the challenge.
The first step is to change into shorts and a T-shirt or anything that shows minimum coverage.
Next, start recording and jump in a fresh patch of snow. It’s best to roll around in there for sometime.
And, that’s it. A simple, but fun way to have fun with your friends. People have always been making new traditions to keep the community together since the history of the earth.
“If you get nominated, you really have to get in there and roll around to properly to finish the challenge,” Trevor Judge (12) said.
