FBLA On Fire At Districts

FBLA qualifies for state in seven events at districts

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club competed at districts on Feb. 10. at Mid Rivers Mall. The group took home multiple awards and will advance to state April 13-15 in Springfield in hopes of winning more.

“I was very excited for the students and the opportunities,” FBLA sponsor, Kortney Holman said.

Tanaya Krishnadu, Deveshisai Chitturi, and Tanmayee Gogineni took first place in Intro to Business Presentations. LHS had three second place finishers and three third place finishers on the day. 

“It was pretty fun and I got to see how everybody was doing. They were thorough. I imagine that everybody’s gonna go the extra mile (at state),” Geo Reji (10) said.

STATE QUALIFIERS 

Accounting 2 – Raksha Thiagarajan (3rd place)

Intro to Business Procedures – Landon Kerr (3rd place)

Intro to FBLA – Tanmayee Gogineni (2nd place)

Intro to FBLA – Deveshisai Chitturi (3rd place)

Intro to Business Presentations – Tanaya Krishnadu, Deveshisai Chitturi, and Tanmayee Gogineni (1st place)

Public Speaking – Margot Revelle (2nd place)

Social Media Strategies – Raksha and Rathi Thiagarajan (2nd place)

Our Goal

Your donation will support the student journalists of Liberty High School. For the 2025-26 school year, we are trying to purchase additional cameras and video equipment for our growing media program. We also plan to attend the national journalism conference in Orlando in November 2026.

Navya Manchala is a sophomore in broadcasting and this is her second year in the journalism program. She also took part in the Yearbook Club in her 8th year in middle school. Manchala likes to enjoy her free time by engaging in activities such as drawing, reading, and helping others in the community. She also loves to learn new things so that she can stay curious. Currently, she holds the titles of President of Art Club, President-In-Training for Model UN, and many others. After high school, Manchala plans to attend college and law school so that she can work as a human rights lawyer to help those in need.
