Music has always been a getaway for many, maybe even a form of yourself, a safe place to run away to when the world’s beat isn’t pretty. The events of our lives are like a song, maybe even like a playlist, the beat of the music being the pace of our lives. Taylor Matson’s journey is a lot like the flow of music, all of our lives are.
Matson got into music pretty early on, writing songs about what she saw around her by the age of 5 giving Matson a good understanding of the flow of music at a young age.
Separation sets hardships, especially for Matson when her parents had split around the age of 10. Her brother was already dealing with some issues; nonetheless Matson’s older sister stood up, and took the role to raise her sister as best as she could, causing the two to have a strong relationship. While the upbringing had some battles, the beat had to keep playing so Matson kept her head up, and her love for music close to heart.
