Having positive goals is always a good thing, but Mark Berry is ahead in this category with him having already accepted an offer from Purdue University, with plans to study Biomedical Engineering. While he is excited for his future, he knows that there will be struggles along the way.
This past year, Berry has had some tough times with his golf season. Thanks to the hard times, he has learned that they will turn in to good times. For him, it is all about different ways of getting through things without destroying his mental and physical health. When Berry is working on overcoming a bad time, he listens to music and goes to a chill quiet space with his computer.
“I am able to relax and be in my own space,” Berry said.
Another way he works to overcome trials, is by working out.
“I can take out my anger and get things off my mind when i’m at the gym lifting weights.”
Berry does not let the negative things in his life bring him down. He always tries to keep a positive mindset that things will get better.
