Motivation can help us all get through the hard parts of high school, for Rathi Thiagarajan her family and friends are a big part of what keeps her going. Pride in herself and her accomplishments is the biggest part of that motivation, because trying to make herself proud with who she is, and all that she has accomplished is a big deal to Thiagarajan.
Thiagarajan has achieved multiple things throughout high school. Academics are a big deal to her, she prioritizes them, making sure she fully applies herself at all that she does. Some of Thiagarajan’s other achievements consist of making friends, and being involved in school.
Thiagarajan is in multiple clubs, such as, DECA, FBLA, Model UN, Key Club, and Spanish club. She has made many friends through these clubs, that she believes she would not have met otherwise. Thiagarajan also claims to have learned more, and not in the sense of flashcards, and textbooks, but how to apply what she knows to different situations.
Thiagarajan wishes she would’ve been easier on herself her freshman year, she hopes the freshmen will learn from her and remember to take a breath. To the incoming seniors Thiagarajan suggests to relax, and, even if it feels like you’re not doing much that’s ok.
“It’s your senior year end it off with a bang,” Thiagarajan said.
