After losing a close game 40-35 in week 3 against Warrenton, the Eagles are looking to find success in week 4 against the undefeated North Point Grizzlies. With Liberty at 2-1 and North Point and 3-0, the teams are looking to further their strong start.
“If we play how we played in the past, we can compete against anyone,” Eagles’ head coach Ryan McMillen said.
Both teams are good this year and feature quarterbacks having 700-plus throwing yards. Cody McMullen (12) is at 753 yards (Liberty), and North Point’s Hoyt Gregory (12) has 837 yards so far this season.
On the ground, Jalen Mack (11) has 231 rushing yards in 47 attempts this season and North Point’s running back Riley Deslatte has 242 rushing yards in just 24 attempts.
“Cody McMullen (12) and Jalen Mack (11) need to keep showing up,” assistant coach Bradley Smith said. “We have done everything we can to prepare our players, and I have full faith in our guys that we can win. I know we are fast enough and good enough to beat them.”

The defense will have their work cut out for them. “We can win as long as guys know their assignment and we stay vigilant, focused, and stay low; we will have it in the bag,” lineman Demarco Starwood (12) said.
