Every Thursday a wave of people go and gather into the auditorium and sit together and learn together.
Each week there is a student speaker or a pastor who preaches about anything they think is fit for the time and shares their thoughts about the Bible and the gospel of god during Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
Overall, there is no main person in charge of the program at LHS but one student takes up the roll to welcome everyone and sometimes teach the lesson.
“FCA stands for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It is a place where people gather and learn a little bit more about Jesus and do a lot of fellowship to come together as a community and be nice and kind people,” Sullivan Thornton (11) said.
If you are wanting to grow your faith and knowledge even if you have grown up your whole life knowing Jesus or just hearing about him, come and listen to what other people have to say and it will really change your life.

“There’s a big turnout of over 250 kids every week so you’ll probably see someone who you know a friend or two. It’s a good time to have snacks and learn about Jesus,” Thornton said.
Everyone is invited to come and nobody will be shut out.
“I liked to hear about God and the days I don’t go to church. I look forward to coming here cause it keeps me at peace through my week,” Ashley Sauceda (10) said.
Many people go to FCA for so many reasons. It doesn’t have to be just to learn about Jesus, just coming to spend time with good people who love and care about you is so comforting.
There have been efforts for FCA to expand to the future years. This year the group had their our own custom LHS FCA shirts.
Another idea is to expand outside of school, “something we are going to change next year is we are going to implement small groups during Thursday evenings,” club sponsor Mrs. Ulsas said.
FCA is not just a club. FCA is not just about Jesus. FCA is about spending time with friends and giving your time to Jesus.
