After losing two games in a row, the boys varsity basketball team comes back and wins against North Point in overtime. The C team almost got their undefeated title taken by North Point but they won in overtime as well, both on Dec. 5.
The varsity game was tied 55-55 and the Eagles were able to come out on top ending the game 69-62. Curron Price (11) got the last points on the board after a North Point player missed a shot and Mason Meyer (12) threw the ball to the other side of the court.
Colin Ashby (11) was on the sidelines due to an injury but supported his team the best he could with them going into overtime.

“It wasn’t scary going into overtime, everyone was cool and composed,” Ashby said. The whole team was ecstatic with getting their first win, hoping for more in the future.
Brayden Peck (9) was able to hit a shot at the buzzer that forced overtime and the Eagles would go on to win the game 44-40. All of Peck’s teammates crowded around him cheering.
“It felt great, especially when all my teammates carried me, it was a fun game,” Peck said. The whole team thought they played great and are ready for the next few games.
After these two wins, both the C team and varsity team have been working hard for their next opponents. The C team played Howell North on Dec. 8 and lost having their first loss of the season. The varsity team played Orchard Farm on Dec. 9 also losing, dropping their record to 1-3.
