Bobsledding is one of three track sports in the Olympics. There are 3 disciplines within Bobsledding: Monobob, two man sled, and the traditional four man sled. Monobob is a relatively new discipline with it being in the Olympics for only the second time. Monobob is a women only discipline. Two Man Bobsled is when two athletes, the driver and the breakman race down alone without the second and the third man in a smaller sled. Both Two Man and Four Man Bobsled are for both men and women. In Four Man the sled is larger, able to fit four athletes, the driver, the second man, third man, and the breakman. Only three countries meddled in Bobsled, Germany in first with eight, then USA with three, and Switzerland in third with one.
