Anumitha Vaka is a junior in her second year of publications. After doing intro to Journalism, she  is now taking Online News. Anumitha loves being a part of publications, a member of Key Club, a NHS member, and plans on joining HOSA once again. Outside of school she loves to read, write, watch T.V., and draw. She also is very close with her family and loves spending time with them. In the future she plans on going into the medical field and becoming a pediatrician.

HOSA’s Mini Med Academy Paves the Way for Future Medics

Director of Community Relations for St. Charles County Ambulance District, Kyle Gaines, came to speak to the students and answer medical questions before they got to tour the ambulance.

The Mini Med academy had a lot of fun and informational stations led by HOSA volunteers in which the students got to learn different aspects about medicine.

At one station, students watch as junior Emma Thomas demonstrates the dissection of a bone while teaching about parts of the bone like bone marrow.
