High school can lead to unexpected experiences and adventures you might have never imagined. For Nickolaus Poeling, his journey as a student has taken him to some incredible places. He had the opportunity to visit a farm in Africa, where he actively participated in their harvest, which was an eye-opening experience for him.
In addition to Africa, Poeling has traveled to various countries, including Costa Rica. These unforgettable adventures have made his time in high school truly remarkable, and broadened his horizons in ways he never expected.
Even with all these exciting experiences, some things will always remind him of home. Poeling gives the example of his mom calling out his name. It is a reminder of the possibility of getting into trouble or hearing about a sibling squabble.
Poeling also shared a piece of advice for incoming freshmen: “Make sure you don’t take a hard class your first year. It will save you in the long run,” he said. This kind of wisdom can help new students ease into high school life.
