Balancing school with a personal life is an important skill to have, but keeping a positive attitude can be even more beneficial. Danny O’Day has found this to be true, surrounding himself with the simple joys that comes from the high school experience.
“I just don’t let school stress me out as most do. Like, you gotta have the perfect balance. If you let yourself stress, high school’s gonna suck,” O’Day said.
One of the ways O’Day finds joy at school is by being a member of Liberty’s student council. He has been a member his entire high school career, and ran for office the past two years. Student council lifts his spirits and is an easy way for him to lift others spirits.
Whether you know him or not, O’Day is definitely one of the brightest people at Liberty. You can find him at The Perch during lunch, in the stands at football games, or being involved in the school’s assemblies. O’Day encourages his peers to look at high school in a positive light, inspiring them to focus on the nice things instead of the hard parts.
