Matthew Medina is a senior who likes to fish and hike. He tries to go either fishing or hiking every weekend depending on the weather, but between the two, he prefers to go fishing. He also joined HOSA and really enjoys it. One of the biggest impacts on him is his mother. “She’s always helped me a lot, and I want to make her proud,” Medina said.
His favorite subject is science, which is why he’s in HOSA, where he learns about the medical field, joins competitions, spreads awareness for things like breast cancer, and helps to fundraise for similar important causes.
“Something that helps me focus is definitely music,” Medina said. He prefers to listen to alternative and older rock bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers. He’s proud of his grades, getting promoted, and proud of joining new clubs during sophomore year.
