Passion is such a large part of one’s life. Without it, what is the point in doing anything?
One person who is very passionate is Mirra McSpadden. McSpadden is passionate about many things, but one thing that stands over all else is her motivation to help others.
“I’m very passionate about helping others, and helping those around me.” McSpadden said, “I like giving back to the community and I want to make everybody feel welcome so that nobody is left out.”
Her grandma plays a big part in this, helping McSpadden to find ways to help others. One opportunity that her grandma has given her is the chance to care for and train service dogs. Helping to train service dogs has greatly inspired McSpadden to pursue a career in the animal field. One of McSpadden’s proudest moment is the first time a dog she had trained went to people who needed him.
“When the first dog we trained, Alvin, graduated he went to an autism center in Utah. He helped a lot of kids, he’s a super amazing dog. When I saw how much he was helping, and knowing that I helped with that, I cried,” McSpadden said.
