Why did you start this sport: I would always play basketball with my older brothers and my friends. Basketball always brought me joy so in eighth grade I decided to play competitively.
Pre-game ritual?: I like to have an energy drink before my games.
Best memory ever from the sport: My whole ninth grade season with all my buddies on the team.
Proudest moment in the sport: Coach Sodemann giving me the opportunity to swing up to varsity.
Biggest motivation:I want to win.
Are you planning to do this sport in the future/college: I would like to play this sport in college and get a scholarship to a good school.
How do you stay focused when you’re under pressure: I calm myself down.
What advice would you give to someone starting this sport: Don’t think about it too hard and have fun.
What is the most rewarding part about being an athlete in your sport: Being a role model for the younger kids in the program.
What’s so different about you being an athlete compared to other athletes: I don’t think I’m much different from other athletes. Most I have to offer is hard work and dedication.
