Why did you start this sport: When I was in elementary school, I would play basketball outside, but I would actually hoop on these kids so my dad signed me up and I just stuck with it ever since.
Pre-game ritual: I go out before everyone warms up and I pray on court over the game.
Best memory ever from the sport: How much I’ve overcome, just the whole thing.
Proudest moment in the sport: Making it in an E40 league.
Biggest motivation: My top motivation is how much people have doubted me. My dad also motivates me because he helps me a lot.
Are you planning to do this sport in the future/college: If I can make it to college I want to try t0 shoot for Notre Dame or UConn.
How do you stay focused when you’re under pressure: I usually focus on what I’m wanting the outcome to be.
What advice would you give to someone starting this sport: Don’t try to be the best on the court, you’re not gonna be the best on the court fresh out.
What is the most rewarding part about being an athlete in your sport: Seeing how much you’ve grown and seeing all the outcomes of that.
What’s so different about you being an athlete compared to other athletes: My journey that brought me to where I am today is different from yours. What makes me different from other athletes is my speed and change of motion quickly.
