“Be hard working.” A motto Mikayla Leone has kept with her throughout her high school years, always there as a reminder to be a hard worker. Leone explains how this has helped her put her grades and schoolwork above everything else, in hopes of becoming a nurse anesthetist.
Leone notes that she got accepted into Maryville University, with a $14,000 scholarship. Leone shares how this scholarship ended up cutting her school tuition in half.
While she originally planned on going out of state for college, she explained how as senior year hit, she realized how much she wanted to stay here in Missouri with her family. Leone plans to continue living in Missouri when she graduates college, working as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). She stated how when she leaves, she wants to be remembered as a social person, always being able to talk to her whenever needed.
