History for some is a class they nap through, but for others, it’s a wonderful place that can teach us about our future through the past.
One of these many history lovers would be Aidan DiMercurio, who after graduating from Liberty, will attend Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) so that he can obtain a degree to teach history. The time period he hopes to teach is the American Revolution (1775-1783).
He mainly wants to teach history because he wants people to learn about past issues, ensuring they won’t repeat the mistakes of the past.
“The reason we learn history is to not repeat their mistakes,” DiMercurio said.
He plans to work hard to achieve his dreams and take his place in history.
