Alix Queen, Weekly Content Editor

Alix Queen is a senior and in their fourth year of publications. They are the weekly content editor while being in their third year of yearbook. Along with being in yearbook, Alix is in theater and is Mr. Hall’s TA. Outside of school, Alix works at JCPenney, as well as reads books, plays music, and scrolls on TikTok for hours on end. Along with this, Alix is usually hanging out with their best friend, Julia Wiley. After their final year of high school, Alix plans on going to a four year school for journalism and hopes to be a photographer.

Class of 2022 Says a Final Goodbye

Sruthi Ramesh was selected as the senior speaker at graduation. Ramesh wanted to be more conversational with her speech, and to keep her peers engaged. “Graduation is this milestone we’ve been looking forward to for 13 long years, and now that it’s done, it doesn’t feel real,” Ramesh said.

Mr. Jolliff begins his speech after doing the “Griddy” to the podium. Jolliff was voted to be the teacher speaker this year at graduation. “Education to me is about relationships. Those strong bonds with students that will forever hold a special place in our hearts,” Jolliff said during the speech.

The chamber choir performed The Long Road Home following the opening remarks and introductions by Dr. Nelson.

Dr. Nelson, head principal, stated “Class of 2022, you have been inspiring. Your generosity and selflessness to helping others is second to none. You will undoubtedly make an impact on our world.”
